I can knit again

The past few months have been hard: buying house, moving, miscarriage, work-related travel, neck-arm pain, surgery. It's as if the last half of the year was fast and complicated, physically and emotionally.

One week after spine surgery I can knit again, I can sit up in bed for short stretches of time, and I can even go downstairs with help. I am slowly regaining myself and all the things that I like to do.

Finally!

My invite came this week!

No Ravelry yet....

So far still:

You are #16053 on the list.
6526 people are ahead of you in line.
10696 people are behind you in line.
34% of the list has been invited so far

Well at least I've been knitting again. The socks are going S L O W thanks to my carpal tunnel, thin needles are just the worse for it. I've translated two patterns from french. Even if I speak a little french it was hard to understand the abbreviations, but this Knitting from the French is wonderful! Thanks to it I will be casting for a baby cardigan and another one for my daughter today.

I just have to get my finishing mode back, I have so many things to sew up: baby kimono, baby trousers, baby vest, baby overalls, 2 calorimetry hairbands.

I've been busy (and sleepy)

I guess now I have a reason to sew all those baby things I've knit lately but I have not finished: baby trousers, baby kimono, vest, etc.

Not finishing, just knitting

I have been seriously MIA. I have been knitting but not finishing. I have five -almost six- projects that need buttons, or sewing, or some finishing.

I am after all writting the last chapter of my thesis under a very tight deadline, while working full-time, and being a mum, so I should not really spend time in other leisure-related activities. But knitting has taken place nonetheless. In airports to business trips, on the bus, while eating lunch, you know!

So the lack of pictures corresponds to the lack of finished projects. Maybe I should take a picture of them all to share.

I can't wait...

...to get my invitation to Ravelry It looks like such a great place! I am being patient....zen.... but I can't wait!

Today after I ate my lunch, I pulled out my knitting and concentrated as I was I did't realise at first that the two women next to me did exactly the same. It was so exciting to have been cosmically put next to each other (the place was packed). We work 1 block apart. I gave them my email hoping we can get together some other day to knit. I'd love to have knitting friends for lunch time!
